Fiona and Claire Riddell originally met when they were both living in Cyprus and she is now part of The Whole Birth Company offering specialised fitness and nutrition advice both during pregnancy and postnatally.

As a qualified midwife, Claire practised for 20 years in London and overseas. Working with pregnant women, and having two children of her own, she was aware that there appeared to be a lack of safe and specific guidance offered to women when pregnant or having had a baby.  Claire has always had a passion for health and fitness, especially around women’s health, and decided to set up Custom Fit and become a personal trainer to combine this enthusiasm with her comprehensive midwifery experience. Having specialised in pregnancy and postnatal exercise, Claire’s aim is to empower women with the right tools and training to nurture and look after their bodies to prevent injury or complications and optimise health for both them and their baby.

How it works

With Claire’s professional guidance, encouragement and holistic approach she will motivate, educate and empower you through one of the most amazing experiences in your lives.

 

Claire will work with you to become stronger and fitter, propelling you through pregnancy and beyond.  This will help in reducing your susceptibility to minor complications which are common when pregnant, such as lower back and pelvic pain, high blood pressure and a weakened pelvic floor.

 

Claire will also work on your stamina to help you through labour and develop personalised exercises to bolster your overall mobility and functional movement, vital through your postnatal period. Overall, she will make your sessions enjoyable and sustainable.

 

Claire offers both virtual and face to face sessions.
